Snapchat: So what do the emojis really mean?

Snapchat, my one true love that I am always using. I love Snapchat, I'm not really sure why I like it so much but it's fun to send funny pictures and funny videos to my friends! I even like just trying to raise my score and change my best friends and stuff like that! If you have been on Snapchat in 2016 you would know that Snapchat has implemented some new "snapchat friend emojis" and people are always wondering what they mean! SO I figured I would help educate everyone!

^ This is an especially great chart because it shows what the emojis look like for both Iphone and Android users yay! ^

This is a pretty great visual for how the Snapchat friend emojis work! As of lately everyone is obsessed with the fun "snapstreak" I have 6 different snapstreaks with 6 different people going right now and it can be very stressful to keep up with them (first world problem clearly)! My longest Snapstreak ever is 79 days and counting right now, but I've know of people who have had a Snapstreak for a year~ that's true dedication~ ! Right now I have a Red Heart with my friend Zack which means we have been best friends for 2 weeks or more, and so we are almost at 2 months which means we will get the Pink Heart, which is the highest heart you can get! Snapchat can be very complicated if you don't use it but it can also be very fun, so if you don't have it I would totally recommend it so you too can procrastinate and waste time using it! If you use Snapchat comment down below your longest Snapstreak!

UPDATE TIME!

I am sure we are familiar with the social media site Instagram. For those of you who may not know, Instagram is a photo sharing social media site. It just so happens that today Instagram decided to update and change its logo and theme!

^ This is the new logo! Featuring a camera with some rainbow color! ^

^ This is the old logo! As you can see it is a bit different! ^

Anytime there is an update on a social media suddenly everyone likes to freak out as if the entire site has completely changed even though we all know that is not how it works! In case you have not updated your app yet the new update features what I would call a more "white" based theme with a white banner instead of a blue one. Also the tools at the bottom of the app are now a lot smaller than previously! So there is the update, comment down below, if you have an Instagram account, do you like the update or no? :) Thanks for reading!

Cyberbullying: Do Something!

How aware are you of violence and bullying online? I would say for myself I am not that very aware. Yes, sometimes I see "twitter fights" or " Facebook drama" or even " Shade thrown on Instagram", but other than that I don't really follow people who are involved in actual cyberbullying, at least that I can see. Cyberbullying is extremely prevalent and is happening more and more in this digital age. With more and more cases of cyberbullying we need to stop being bystanders and start taking action. According to Carrie Rentschler author of Online abuse: we need Good Smaritans on the web, " Responsibility for violence online and off must be placed where it belongs: on the perpetrators, rather than the victims, survivors and community members targeted by it. But bystanders should also be held accountable."
I would totally agree with that, bystanders should take action and reach out to those victims. It is also important to take action in the right way. Maybe that means talking to the victim and helping them through their situation, maybe that means talking to a school counselor, or even talking to the predator in some situation. The last thing you want to do as a bystander is create an even bigger fire and adding more fuel (drama) to what already is the situation.
Remember next time you go on social media, be aware of what is happening, and if you have the ability to help, consider it! The golden rule is treat others the way you would want to be treated and I'm sure if you were going through a form of cyberbullying you would want someone to help and support you too!

Let me know what you think! Should bystanders take action? Let me know in the comments below! :)
